THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of the Internal Telephone Sales Executive is to help drive business growth by unearthing new sales opportunities.

This will be achieved by proactively reaching out to new and potential customers, existing customers or lapsed customers, and showcasing the quality solutions that Eccles can offer.

This role demands a strong emphasis on telephone-based business lead generation, as well as ensuring that new customers are onboarded effectively or that past clients are effectively re-engaged with.

A significant amount of time will be spent undertaking outbound telephone calls reaching out to new or potential leads, with the ability to clearly and concisely emphasise the features and benefits of our products and services. The main objective from this activity will be to convert those conversations into tangible sales opportunities.

Collaboration with external sales team: To work in close collaboration with the external sales team to facilitate the onboarding of new clients; sharing insights, feedback and sales techniques that can further optimise outreach strategies.

Customer clawback: To actively target and re-engage with dormant customer accounts, understanding their past pain points or needs, and presenting new solutions that fit their current requirements. With a view to getting their custom once again.

Sales pipeline management: To track and report on calls made, capturing leads generated and outcome achieved. To use CRM systems efficiently to document interactions and sales progress.

Product knowledge: To stay updated and informed on product developments, marketing initiatives, market trends and the competitive landscape to engage in informed discussions with potential clients.

Continuous learning: To attend internal training sessions and participate in team meetings to share best practices and learn from peers.

Maintaining data integrity in CRM systems: To understand the importance of keeping accurate data and to be proactive in ensuring the correct and proper data inputting methodology is used.

Enhancing customer insights: To understand how the ability to make informed business decisions rests upon the validity of our business insights and the importance of capturing quality and accurate customer data, which helps the team derive meaningful insights, tailor service offerings and engage in proactive customer interactions.

Operational efficiency and risk mitigation: To champion the CRM system and to ensure that records and data are inputted correctly and accurately, to enable a zero-mistakes data-inputting culture and to ensure that workflows continue to operate smoothly.

Candidates are expected to prioritise data accuracy in this way, and to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all CRM-related tasks.

Brand and reputation management: To understand the importance of upholding company ethics and values, to protect the company’s brand assets, to promote a positive image of the company, to act and behave in a manner consistent with the company’s values.
