Quality control is an important area of our business that we continually invest heavily in, as we always strive to improve and enhance the high performance and reliability of our product ranges.
We operate a culture of continuous improvement in the business, and we work with many technology partners, including universities, to research new and enhanced product design features, systems, and solutions in order to achieve on going product innovations in the market today.
This includes ongoing research into the Eccles SmartGrip TechnologyTM which will allow us to provide safer roads in the future.
Following recent engineering developments to MaxiGripTM, our D400 (Group 4) range of ductile iron double triangular access covers and frames, we are delighted to announce enhancements to the stability and long-term durability of this product range.
Due to the increased traffic intensity on today’s roads, part of our ongoing research is an investigation into the premature failure of access covers, highlighting a number of possible causes for this.
Using the lasted parametric software, technical expertise and accelerated wear-technique modelling, a number of positive changes have now been engineered into our product design.

One example of this is the introduction of the new and robust inverted ‘V’ seatings of the MaxiGripTM range to further enhance non-rock stability and reduced wear in the service life of the MaxiGripTM range.
These enhancements have been extensively and rigorously tested through Finite Element analysis, (FEA) vigorous bench testing and site trials.
Initial feedback from our customers has been extremely positive and we are looking forward to sharing these with our customers so they can enjoy a trouble free installation and the long service life that this new product upgrade entails.
We have gained a well-earned reputation for developing a unique and modern approach to manufacturing, and you can rest assured that we will continue to research and develop more upgrades to our OEM solutions in the coming months.
